Red and The Boys have been making music together for over ten years in church choirs, hand bell choirs, and a large folk ensemble. Their musical roots come from the 60's rock and roll mixed with a bit of country for spice, with lots and lots of folk thrown in. Tom and John joke that their "musical brains" stopped about 1967. Their assemblage of 6- and 12- string guitars and banjos along with their use of vintage 60's electric guitars attest to their desire to have just the right sound for just the right song. A standing joke among the group is that whenever all of their instruments are lined up on stage or during rehearsal, one may think of a highly priced (or better yet, a highly "prized") rummage or garage sale. Tom, Red (aka Alice) and John heartily agree that their true focus is the preservation and perpetuation of the folk music from the 50's and 60's. They're thrilled to see the ever growing number of new and old fans and are proud to have a niche in the genre - to quote John, "Groovy!"
